Powered by a 3 amp motor featuring an OPM (orbit per minute) of up to 12,000. Adjustable from 8,000 to 12,000 OPM. Compact height (just over 5in) to have more control sanding and get closer to the substrate. Ergonomic rubberized handle for comfort.

The DWE6423 is compact yet sturdy; it feels solid but not heavy. The On/Off switch and the speed control are located in the exact perfect position to be adjusted with ease. Aptly powered to handle easy to aggressive sanding on a variety of surfaces.

The Dewalt DWE6423 Random Orbit Sander is a good piece of machinery. This is our top pick from all of the sanders in this category (that we reviewed so far). The Bosch ROS20VSK Palm Sander that we previously reviewed (click here to see that review) is pretty close all around but the DWE6423 beats it our by being so cleanly and ergonomically designed. We try not to compare our Tool Space reviews to each other but both are worth a look, especially if you are a Bosch fan. The DWE623 Sander will perform for all three of our The Tool Space users: DIY, Handyman, and Contractor.
